Just a quick post because I have to get to work… T-2 days until classes start! I am planning on working ahead because I love my blog and I don’t want it to gather dust on the week.
Remember when the catalog came out? I said I loved this birds but since I wasn’t sure about the rest of the stamps I wouldn’t get it. Well… so much for that one! As soon as I saw what people were doing with it I was sold! (mostly because of Beate’s awesome work).
The inspiration for this card came from a lot of places. The color combo is from a card in the catalog and the scalloped edge is to resemble SU! scalloped notes (which I saw on Jessica’s blog). And, choke on this, NO SKETCH, again! *gasp*.
I probably went a little crazo with the eyelets, but I’m loving my Crop-A-Dile so much I couldn’t help myself… it’s so much easy and less noisy! I’ll be buying a bunch of new eyelets as soon as I can. The scalloped edge is actually the end of the card and the blue cardstock is on the inside, like this:

Pretty, isn’t it? ♥ So, I’m off to keep “working”, but I’ll leave you with two small neat tips I used:
Tip: Use a glue stick to temporarily mount your unmounted rubber stamps to an acrylic block. It’ll wash out easily with water and soap!
Tip: Bold stamps can be hard to ink and tend to turn out “blotchy”. I gently used a nail file to sand my stamps and it greatly improved the quality of the stamped image (it won’t damage your stamps).
I wish you all ware having a fun weekend, see ya tomorrow! :)
Estivalia.
Stamps: “Always” set (Stampin Up!).
Inks: Blue Bayou and River Rock classic inks (Stampin Up!), Scarlet Colorbox pigment ink (Clearsnap).
Papers: Red and white cardstock (Misc), Blue Bayou and River Rock cardstock (Stampin Up!).
Misc: Blue Bayou stitched grossgrain ribbon (Stampin Up!), 1/8″ silver eyelets, medium corner rounder (EK Success).

Again E, wonderful color choices and design, love those scallops and your eyelets are really fun!
Have you heard of Versafine inks in Chile? They are so wonderful for detailed stamps along with so many other stamps = fail proof and they last a long time. I also like chalk inks for stamps with less detail/more surface rubber.
